I have always use my internet through my the UTP cable, but earlier this week it has been acting up.
The connection drops on and off continuously and unable to maintain a good connection. So i thought is it a comcast problem, I went and get a newer version of the modem to try to fix it. The same thing happen, but now it does not even recognize the cable.
when i trouble shoot the problem it says Trouble with the cable or "Network cable unplugged", I tried 5 different cables and still cannot get anything
my computer is pretty far from the modem so the signal is weak if i use wifi
Is there anything i can do to fix this?
NOTE: it was working fine for months before this, last time it acted like this it only lasted for 2 days. not it has been for a week.
thank you

yes i have a router connected to the modem to run a server (not my server so i dont mess with it)
and the computer is wayyyy too far to try that... but i think i will work, could it be the wall?
