Hey guys,
I am currently building a gaming system, but need to get an OS. I am thinking of buying Windows 8.1 Pro student edition for $69.99USD. I found a form that tells me how to make a media installation for widows 8.1, but i want to know if i make a USB version will it be able to boot off of the USB without drivers? If not then how? I dont plan on having a dvd burner on this rig.
Thanks

The only drivers you need to install are the motherboard drivers. Then just boot from the USB using the BIOS. You can load the other drivers later. (GPU, Multi-Card Reader, etc.)

OK here's the site that MS told me to go to. I just downoad the "Windows 8.1 Setup" run the program, enter in my product key, set it to USB, have it download to the USB, plug it into my system, go to the bios and set it to run USB first, then i should start to download the Win 8.1 onto my computer, then load other drivers onto the PC. Correct?

Yes except for one disc. If it's a new build then you will need to install the Motherboard drivers FIRST. Afterward install the OS and drivers after that. However, if it is not a new build and you've had Windows on it before then you won't need to.
