No display because of Mobo's old BIOS. How to update when I can't even enter the bios menu?

Hello, when I turn both of my new builds (1 for me, 1 for step dad), there is no display on the monitor. I've found out from reading the reviews of my Asrock mobo that other people have the same problem! The issue stems from the mobo coming with an old BIOS that does not support my newish AMD Athlon x4 860 CPU. My question is, how can I update the bios when I can't even get display on my monitor?

The fans in the computer spin, the lights light up, everything seems in order but there is no display. It IS a BIOS problem, i've already done alot of headache-inducing research :/

Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks :)
