Do you know if a single EVGA GTX980 Superclocked ACX 2.0 will be enough for 4K gaming?, i want to use a Samsung U28D590D 60Hz 28.0" Monitor, and my budget is over i cant afford an extra 980. i have seen many benchmark test and fps tests and all seem to be just in the acceptable level. I have read that ps3 only give 30 fps and play in a ps3 is a great experience so having your fps mark about 30 isn't that bad i guess. Im not a fps crazy i jut want a smooth experience. Thanks

The system is:

CPU Intel Core i7-5960X 3.0GHz 8-Core
CPU Cooler Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid
Motherboard Asus X99-DELUXE ATX LGA2011-3
Memory Crucial 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133
Storage Crucial MX100 256GB 2.5" SSD
Seagate Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM
Video Card EVGA GeForce GTX 980 4GB Superclocked ACX 2.0
Case Corsair C70 Military Green (Green) ATX Mid Tower
Power Supply Corsair 1000W ATX12V / EPS12V
Monitor Samsung U28D590D 28.0"

It will do 30FPS at the minimum but I don't think it will be smooth. Are you set on a 4k display? IMO a 2560x1440 monitor at that size is ideal and you will get 60FPS...unless you already have the monitor.

No, i haven't buy the monitor yet. i want a 4K monitor because im thinking to later buy another gtx 980 and i dont want to have to change the monitor. any way i think a (2560x1080) LG Electronics UM65 34UM65 34-Inch monitos could be great and i will have 60FPS in that one.

What happen if i have a 3440x1440 monitor and depending the game performance i run it at 2560x1440? It will present some blurriness? I heard Linus said something about this.

This are my options now.

1080p doesn't look all that great on my 1440p monitor. I would assume 1440p wouldn't look great on a 4k monitor.

I can tell you from experience that my SLI 780 GTX EVGA FTW cant run high end games such as Dragon Age in max settings. Even with the settings toned down the best fps i get is around 30-60ish.
