Core 2 Duo e6300 or pentium D 945?

I have 2 old CPU here which are the Pentium D 3.4ghz 4mb cache 800 FSB and another is the C2D e6300 1.86GHz 2mb cache 1066 FSB. Which one is better?

The Pentium D's are dual core. You linked to a Pentium 4(which is single core). But the Core 2 duo is still quite a bit faster.

Why is a 1.86Ghz with 2mb cache faster than 3.4Ghz with 4mb cache? But since you guys said c2d is better, I think I'll go for it. Thank you!

The core 2 duos have a more efficient architecture and process more instructions per clock.
