Hey all,
So I just picked up the cable stated above to plug in my console to my computer monitor. Everything fit and the Xbox screen displayed on the screen. However when I went to change the resolution, at 1080p and pretty much everything else it was all "blurry", with ghosting of text, pixel tear, and just looks bad overall.

The input to the monitor is a D-SUB, but I'm not sure if that affects anything. Please let me know if there is a fix for this or if the cable is defective; I'm hoping to get this setup finished soon.

Thanks,
SirZyxim

Adapters to convert AV to VGA are pretty rare. They also aren't necessarily very good.
Even if it does work, you are upscaling PAL or NTSC video to you native monitor resolution, which likely means displaying video with around 500 lines on a monitor with 1080 vertical pixels. This will never look great.
What you really want for this is a TV with RCA input. These at least have built-in conversion to digital which will make the best of the crappy analog input.

Well, that's kind of disappointing. I thought that since it was specifically for the Xbox it would work. Thanks for the help, though.
