Hi Everyone
I have a huge problem with my network and I am completely baffled.
I have a media PC on my network which for some reason makes my internet disconnect and reconnect constantly the DSL light and internet light always turning on and off. Below are the network specs.

Modem : The Trusty old Netgear DG834 V4

The modem is then plugged into a Asus RT-N10U (1 meter UTP cable) for wireless and 3G backup.

Connected to the ASUS RT-N10U is 3 Smartphones(Wifi), a workstation(Wifi), Media PC (25 meter UTP cable running to the lounge) and my gaming PC (1 Meter UTP).

The Netgear modem DHCP Server is enabled and the Asus RT-N10U's DHCP Server is disabled.

IP on the Negear modem is 192.168.1.1 with a reservation of an IP address (192.168.1.2) for the Asus router all other devices on the network get assigned IP addresses from the Netgear DHCP

I have checked the 25 meter LAN cable running through to the lounge by connecting my Xbox I managed to do all my updates without the line disconnecting once.

So I have managed to narrow it down to just the media PC causing problems. Anyone have any idea what could be going wrong ?

Thanks for reading :)

Solution
Run malwarebytes on the media pc, slim chance this will fix the problem.

This is most probably caused by your network configuration or the isp provider..
