Gaming Evolved vs OBS for streaming

Title says it. I am running an AMD rig and am just getting into streaming on twitch. I have started with OBS, but was wondering if there are any advantages to using the Gaming Evolved app since AMD is know to optimize multiple cores in their software. Right now I am running at a steady 29fps in SC2 while streaming and was hoping to get it a little higher.

System specs:
CPU: Phenom ii x6 1055t @ 3.9ghz
GPU: (2x) hd 7970
Mobo: Gigabyte ga970-udp3
PSU: EVGA 850b2
RAM: 8gb at 1333mhz

I also have 30mbps/5mbps download/upload speed.

Is it me but isn't 30 FPS extremely low FPS given you are using 2x 7970s? Even when streaming. I can stream those type of games with r9 270x at 60fps. I wonder if your CPU is bottlenecking. Though my experience is limited.

You could try the AMD software. See if there is a difference.
