Hello everyone, I'm planning to overclock my q6600 because I'm getting bad performance in Microsoft Flight Simulator X, and I was hoping someone could help me out because I don't have any idea to setup an overclock config in my bios correctly. I have tried some things but I didn't want to go too far since I'm not sure what I'm doing. I have tried to get it to 2.70 GHz and the BIOS showed me that my CPU was set to 2.70 GHz, but CPU-Z wasn't which I find pretty weird.. I'm not sure if I did anything wrong and as I already said I don't want to go further since I'm not sure what I'm doing. I hope someone can help me out. My specs are: ASUS p5n-e SLI mobo, Intel Core 2 quad q6600 processor, NVidia Geforce GTX 560ti, and 6 gigs of DDR2 ram. I'm not sure about the RAM timings and such and how to find that out. Maybe thats what caused the overclock not to show up in CPU-Z but I'm not sure..

I think its not showing what you have configured to is because when the cpu is in idle or normal state then it doesn't utilizes to its full extent. Install RealTemp (google it) and check your cpu usage when you run some cpu hungry tools/games or whatever.

Hmm, I just changed my FSB to 1200 MHz, memory to 800MHz, multiplier is set to x 9.0 and changed my vcore voltage to 1.31875V (I believe that was the amount) but CPU-Z is telling me my FSB is set to 1066.56 MHz (standard) and that my vcore voltage is set to 1.264V... It seems like my BIOS is reverting all the changes I made, I went into the bios and everything is set to what it was set to earlier apart from my vcore voltage, it's still set to 1.31875V but CPU-Z is still showing me 1.264V...?
