Windows 7 backup can't see my hard drive

1) Is it connected up properly?

2) If it's a brand new drive, have you formatted it?

3) Can you see the drive in Disk Management?

4) If your motherboard is for IDE drives, and the second drive is sharing the same IDE cable as the boot drive, have you configured it as a "slave" ? (doesn't apply to SATA drives of course).

5) If connections and configuration are correct, test it with SeaTools (assuming SeaTools will detect it of course): http://www.seagate.com/gb/en/support/downloads/seatools/seatools-win-master/
