I own Gaming 5, and i could sell it and buy VI Gene for ~10$ more (move to mAtx)

Gaming 5 V.S Gene VI

max "official" ddr3 support : 3300 vs 3000
PCI-E 3 slots max 8/4/4 V.S 8/8(matx, duh)
M.2 slot yes V.S "external" +xtra pci-e 2.0 x1
Sata ports : 6x VS 6x (+2)
power phase 8+2 (50A choke) vs 8+2 (60 Achoke)
Fans :2x cpu & 3 system (both)

Biggest difference is the chipset (VI Gene is mostly better on some parts).

But i think Gaming 5 looks superior compared to Gene.

I dont think that i will upgrade to broadwell when it comes out, maybe to an 4770k/4790k if i need xtra boost. (current 4670k).

If it would be Z97 Gene VII, i wouldnt hesitate

My plan was to move to a smaller mAtx build/case.

Or to build compact ATX (like Cooltek W2)

Going for a custom loop, (120+120+240mm rads).

If i stay with gaming 5, i will mostly get Cooltek W2, if i go Gene, ill maybe go with Define arc mini R2 (Awesome watercool support)
