Story: I know the engineering sample processors aren't a safe bet with things , but my dad bought it off a guy without knowing what it actually is , and he only asked me if the 2600k is a good cpu , and i was like "yeah , sure thing dad! :D" But it turns out that the guy even said it was engineering sample , but my dad was just like meh :pt1cable: .

1*Anyways* the stock processor is supposed to give at least 3.4 GHz , but the one i got only gives out 2.5 and i managed to overclock it to 2.9 . I can't play games , and i don't know what to do .

2*I asked on the official intel forums what i should do with it , and no one has replied to me yet , could i trade it for the stock version ?

3*Can i set it so that it gives 3.4 ghz or more ? I spent most of my money on my gpu knowing i had the right cpu and now i've been dunked in the butt .

4*Really, any advice would be good , worst case scenario , if i need to get a new cpu , please give me a cheap model that is compatible with the following : Motherboard(http://eu.msi.com/product/mb/P67AC45_B3.html#hero-overview) , gpu : (http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/product_index.aspx?pid=2022&lid=1) , and 8 gb ram . Also i got a 750w power source . Anything that is able to use the gpu is good really , but sadly it has to be from intel because of the motherboard ...

Sorry for the long list of questions , but i'm really desperate and sad right now , since i had to save up quite a bit of money . Thanks in advance for reading . :wahoo:

Too late bruh , if they need to come with the police and stuff , that sucks i guess ... unless they can blame my dad .
That would suck harder

They're not going to be bothered about an end user (although they would be interested to know who sold it - some sellers have already been jailed). But they won't give you any support. Unless your Dad can get his money back from the guy who sold it to him he's just going to have to write this one down to experience.

Some of these ES processor won't even boot in a normal m/b, so it could be worse.
