2400Mhz Ram is running at 1333Mhz

Hi, I have a i7 4790k 4.0GHz. My Motherboard is MSI Gaming 5 Z97. I have 16GB DDR3 2400MHZ RAM but its only running at 1333MHZ. How can I change this? ( I am a complete noob at this sort of stuff) Any help would be really appreciated.

Go into the BIOS look under DRAM settings , and set the XMP profile.

Go into the BIOS and set your ram timing to 2400Mhz. There are XMP profiles which you choose to set you ram to run at a certain speed.

If I may, I'll hijack Your profile. Without overclocking, is there any "real" advantage of having memory run at such a high clocks? I have 1866 MHz Crucials, running at 1333 MHz. Should I push them? My 2-4 way raid is running 1100 - 2200 MB/s tops, ram is achieving now at 1333 MHz 18 594 MB/s according to memtest. Does memory clock affect something at all? In real life, not in benchmarks...

Hit DEL after turning on the pc, if it doesn't work hit F1 or F2, F2 will most likely do on most of the new systems.
