Well, i5 is like 3 classes up. g is something like old "celeron", i5 is full throttle cpu. Of course i5. There's nearly 40% difference in rough power of these two cpus.
voyboyfan - g line took the places of old celerons [it's between celeron and i3] in new lineup of intel processors, pretty much, they're still having some celeron class, though not anymore. And i3 without HT is pretty much "celeron".
wow, that was useful. And also first generation of Intel processors is called Pentium, actually 75 90 100 110, and then came MMX at 133 and 166 and 230, and then came Pentium II. So much for Your comment. G, celeron, pentium or whatever is weak for gaming, unsuitable. That's the point.
With all due respect, You're dense. We're talking i5 not i3 here. In general most of the gamers own i5/i7 processors. i3 and S/U/Y processors are for "office" use and some heavier work, for games there's i5. Or You just need to have the last word? If that's the case I'm off from this thread.
