Please help newbie with new build issue

I just finished the harware potion of my first build and wheen I plugged in the computer and hit the power button it comes on for juat a second or so then shuts off (probably some safety thing to keep me from destroying it). In that brief second the poweboard LED lights up, the fans come on and the case LED lights are lit up.

Any ideas on what may be going on>

Glad to hear its up and going. But I would suggest replacing that PSU as soon as you can. The TR2s are known to damages other parts when they fail.

Understood. I have a feeling chances are this particular issue is due to something i have done wrong or didn't do, etc. I will try and get a better PSU though as soon as I can.

I just figured out what the problem was and as I suspected it was my error. I had left something critical unplugged. My system has powered up now with the screen prompt "reboot and select your proper Boot device" so I am back to googling to find out what to do next. I just realized that most of the guides I have been looking at on bulding a computer stop once the components are in and don't tell you how to configure it and load the operating system etc.

Paul, I had left the CPU power plug unplugged so now sys is running. I thought the bios screen would automatically come up but my screen says "Reboot and Select your Boot device or insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key". How do I get the bios to come up to configure the system?
