Intel Core i7-4930K and Asus Sabertooth X79 incompatibility?

When using the Asus Sabertooth X79 with an Intel Core i7-4930K the red CPU error light is coming on and I do not get POST.

The fans all come on correctly.

I have updated the Bios to 4801 using the USB method and the blue light flashes so this seems to work OK. However, the red CPU light problem remains.

This is the 2nd combination of Sabertooth X79 and Intel Core i7-4930K I have tried.

I returned the first combination to the dealers as I experienced the red CPU warning light and no POST and so assumed that either the CPU or the MoBo was faulty.

However, as this 2nd set has exactly the same problem it seems likely that this motherboard / CPU combination is not compatible. Or perhaps no longer compatible in some new version of the hardware. Certainly other people have got this to work in the past as I can see from postings on the web.

I note that the BIOS update I used from Asus (4801) is marked BETA. (http://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/SABERTOOTH_X79/HelpDesk_CPU/)
Perhaps it does not work?

Does anyone have access to an earlier Bios update that I can try or indeed any ideas as to what I should try next?

It was the power supply. I was taking the board down and noticed the 1 of the cables on the 12V eatx plug was not pushed all the way into the plastic housing. I forced it further in and the board worked once I plugged everything back in.
Doh!
