What temperature is good for a CPU

I have coretemp. While playing payday 2 the highest temp is 74 degrees C on core 3. I have a i7 4690k and a stock cooler. Is this temp ok? On idle I think its around 42-50 degrees C

Its dropped to 51 now and I am astill playing the game
