m looking to upgrade from a gtx 770 and i have been offered two GTX 780TI`s for the price of one 980, so my question is what will i get better performance from one 980 or two 780TI`s. And i wont be bottlednecked by either becuase i have a corsair RM1000 and a i7 4790k

Solution
The 780 Ti's will offer much better performance. You are getting a card that is ~10% slower than a 980, so two will be much faster than a single 980.

What model are they?

I love the 980's but if you are getting two 780ti for the price of one 980.. i think you gotta go for the two with SLI setup. You won't get some bottle necking at the 1080p level with just about any SLI combo, but if you are planning to go higher.. you will have lots of power to do it. You have plenty of power to do the SLI too. I'd pick the 2.

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 G1 Gaming or two EVGA reference superclocked 780ti

Graphics cards in SLI can create a lot more heat, noise, and pull a lot more power. Especially ones from previous generations. The 780 ti's in SLI will definitely outperform the 980 GTX, but can definitely have microstutter issues that can make gameplay not as smooth. While most games can utilize SLI these days, I will always go for the powerful single GPU setup now becasue then I can SLI it in the future. I would only SLI a 780 ti if I already owned one 780 ti in the first place. The 900 series cards also have new technology as they have Dynamic Super Resolution that renders a game at a higher, more detailed resolution and intelligently shrinks the result back down to the resolution of your monitor, giving you 4K-quality graphics on any screen. The 700 series GTX cards can't do that.

344.48 introduced DSR support for Kepler and Fermi cards.

The 780 Ti is a very powerful card, almost as powerful as the 980. It's still a great card and the 3GB shouldn't be a limit at anything under 4K for a while.

DSR is now implemented for all GTX 600 and later cards with the latest driver. And again, it's not like the 980 is significantly faster than a 780Ti. Also, microstutter is almost non-existent as an issue for most people. Even switching between 2 or 3 of my 780s, I've only observed stutter in games that don't offer decent SLI scaling to begin with.
