Hi all, got a bit of a situation here.
So today I got a new PSU (500W Corsair) which works fine and everything runs as normal. The reason I got this was so I could put an R9 270X in my PC as I've previously (still am) stuck with intel integrated graphics. After a bit of a struggle the card and PSU both now power up.
However, despite being in the slot and the fans spinning on the graphics card if I plug in my monitor to it there is no display at all (but the system boots up as normal). But if I plug my monitor into the onboard graphics it works fine and the computer is completely normal.
Also, if I go into the display adapters thing via device manager there is only the Intel HD graphics. When I was looking at the quick install leaflet that came with the graphics card it says I should uninstall onboard graphics before installing the card but from other threads/posts this seems to result badly.
Should I uninstall/disable the on board graphics? I don't want to make my PC unuseable or anything and I'm a little scared to try this so o thought I'd ask here first about my whose situation.
