Someone had downloaded driver update software and uninstalled the driver update program because they wanted to charge some ridiculous amount for services. It is a Windows 7 home computer. Now the beast has no network adapter software and we can not hook it up online. The Realtec is missing even though I know it works. I have searched the web over and MSI Micro Star has no driver downloads on its page for it. What do I do?

Try the Windows 7 driver from http://www.realtek.com/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=14&PFid=6&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

first name i saw was also N1996, but it apparently refers to motherboard production series or something; next, i had to take out a few components: video card, only then i found the real name of my motherboard, which, in my case, was MS-7181 VER: 1.0; now, googling that last name, i found that the final real name of my M/B is K8MM3-V - wow, MSI really make things hard to find
