Hey guys as my title above, i have be having problems with issue. My pc specs are -A88X-PLUS MB with windows 7. Amd 5800k APU with radeon graphics. PSU 750W. 2x4gb corsair ram. 1 TB SEAGATE HDD. R9 290 X GRAPHICS CARD. I haven't a clue what the issue is...could you please help me?

Solution
You have a low end main processor (APU) which could be overwhelmed with the demands your expecting (common) and thus crashes the entire computer when you decide to play on ULTRA graphics. Or can be drivers are incorrectly installed, malware, what about your temps, etc. etc. etc. And we have no idea what game this is your trying to play or what settings it is on.

let's do some basics first to make sure nothing is in the way with any solutions we try to provide

Download and run SPECCY, copy and paste the first tab to show your idle temp

Remove whatever AV your using and go to www.filehippo.com and download Comodo, Avira or AVG (AVAST! been hacked so I don't recommend them anymore) and do a full system scan - this repeatedly has resolved alot of people issue relying on MS Essentials and Norton tends to get in the way of alot of programs it seems.

Download Malwarebytes do a full system scan (AV doesn't pick up alot of malware) - this resolved almost ALL other similiar posts to date as most had Malware the AV didn't pick up.
Repeat the AV/Malware scans till the system comes up clean.

Did you install all Windows Updates? Including options except BING? Check them and repeat till ALL are installed.
Download and run Slim Drivers, install all the latest updates but you don't need to reboot until you do the last update
Download MSI Afterburner and write down the FPS you do actually get IN GAME (set this On Screen Display -OSD- in both MSI and RTSS the blue looking computer card icon in your system tray) .

Let us know the results of all these steps, 90% of the time just these steps along resolves ALL the issues.

Once these are out of the way (as said they resolve 90% of the time) then you can remove the video drivers, download Driver Fusion or 3DGuru's Driver Sweeper to really remove AMD components, reboot and you will be in VGA mode, then download and reinstall the latest Catalyst (may want to scroll down sometimes the newer drivers are not at the top).

Games trying to run are Metro last light, Evolve alpha, Alien isolation (works for 30mins gametime) and Cryengine sandbox etc. All other games i have work perfectly fine like outlast, the forest, rust and many more. I'll wait for your reply then i'll do they steps if needed too. I use norton forgot to say.

Nope still doing the same thing. Alien isolation working fine but the evolve alpha still wasn't working. (nevermind for evolve now lol) metro last light still does it but you here a noise when it crashes and restarts.

Please do all the steps I outlined, REASON: to provide a base system expectation then (as others are doing) just tossing sh*& till something sticks/works out there. Let's look at it logically, but as I said I dont' want to jump to other things when you may have a underlying problem (malware) that going to give use False False results

TEMPS, PSU stability are all important, but the games you picked are HIGH demand and that APU isn't up to snuff, so you would have to be playing at LOW to MED settings also at low resolutions. Yeah I know the video card is great but modern games doing things like calculating physics of your knife vs concrete wall, AI mechanics, strategy response to your 'action' by enemy AI, etc. are all NOT worked on by the GPU at all. As you can see the performance result on the next APU HIGHER than yours http://www.techspot.com/review/856-amd-a10-7800-kaveri/page7.html in comparision to a FX or iCore series these are NOT made for gaming (never were). So pushing up the Graphics or Display just because you have a nice GPU CAN lead to the same issues your having - because your overwhelming the APU, which would be the next test to throttle back the game settings, but I want to make sure (as noted) some malware/driver glitch wont' give us False-False Readings.
