Hi ,

For few days I am facing this strange problem ,
my PC crashes within few minutes of playing games , or doing any high end activity , first the game keeps getting stuck , for few seconds while the other program works , and then the game freezes completely , and the other program starts to freeze , slowly , to the point when I am unable to use my mouse and keyboard , and when I try to restart immediately , it says "Creating and establishing link , client mac addr..", , and doesn't boot ,

Initially I thought of hard disc failure , but after booting the computer after 10-20 minutes , it works normally , and then again the same problem.

my configuration -

intel core i7 3770
8 gb corsair 1600 DDR3 ram
nvidea 980 gtx
intel Z77 motherboard (approx 100$ motherboard)
corsair GS 600 PSU - 600 Watt gaming series
2 TB SATA hard disc

Solution
If you suspect a drive failure, run checkdisk to check for drive problems.

To check a drive, right-click on the drive in Computer, select Properties, go into the Tools tab and click Check now...

The the drive is currently in use, schedule a scan on bootup (if will prompt you)

If nothing wrong is found with your drive(s), you might want to use EVGA Precision X or MSI Afterburner to set your card to 1216MHz core clock and +10% power limit.

Hi ,

no I dont play online gaming , this happens only in offline gaming or intensive task , for example rendering any 3D content , or compiling a large project (I use unreal engine so I am talking about game development stuffs). But this never occurred before , it only started to show up for the last few weeks , when I reboot immediately , my PC behaves as if there is no hard disk , but if I let it cool down for 20 minutes approx , then it reboots correctly.

Since I am using gtx 980 Twin forzr version , I guess that is auto overclocked, as I havent changed any settings for overclocking manually , and my CPU is 3770 , not 3770K , so I didn't overclock anything

To fix this error , I tried refreshing my OS first , and then I had to reinstall everything again , so at that time , I also reinstalled the latest driver. This seems more like a sudden harddisc failure , but I dont know how it can happen

Have you received any error messages indicating there was a problem with the hard drive? What brand is your hard drive?

This sounds like some kind of thermal issue. Open your case side panel and verify all the case fans and the CPU and GPU fans are all functioning.

Download HWinfo and run sensors. Take a screenshot of all the sensor readings (Probably take more than one screenshot) and post them here using tinypic or similar site.

Run Seatools for windows. Run the short DST and the long generic.
