I just wanna know how the cpu speed effect gaming or does does it not?
Just comparing between the 3.6ghz intel i7 4790 against 4.7ghz Amd Fx 9590. People say to buy Amd fx 8320 and overclock it to perform like Amd fx8350. So can u buy Amd fx 8370 and overclock it to perform like Amd fx 9370?
http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i7-4790-vs-AMD-FX-9590
why is Intel i7 4790 performance better than Amd fx 9590. The Amd fx 9590 is faster than Intel i7 4790(not k)

Solution
Yes, the I5 can do it.

You really should consider getting a custom PC and building it yourself or paying someone to build it, you get A LOT better quality and a nice performance boost above prebuilds.
The I5 4xxx CPUs compare to AMD 83xx series. They perform similarly in gaming.

The I7 does not really provide significant performance increases in gaming above I5s and AMD 83xx CPUs.

The general suggestion is to get an I5 4670K or 4690K, these provide great gaming performance AND can be overclocked without needing to spend the extra money on an I7.

GHz has an effect on gaming performance but is not the only thing to consider. I5s and I7s are a lot more efficient with the lower clock rate, so comparing pure GHz is not a good way to do it.

In short, getting an I5 is the best choice. BUT if you are short on money then getting an AMD 8320 is a great way to do it.

What is your budget? Where are you purchasing? Website?

Intel i5 4690k may not be enough.

1. An i5 is enough, the I7 recommended is completely about marketing.

2. 16 GB of RAM is WAY more than needed, gaming NEVER uses more than 8GB.

3. The PSU you chose is of questionaly quality. Get a reliable 550-650w unit from tier 1, tier 2a or tier 2b on the below list.
http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1804779/power-supply-unit-tier-list.html

Good suggestions include XFX, Seasonic or Antec.

4. If you are planning to overclock, get a better board. That board is ok for very mild overclocking, but nothing more.

5. The GTX780 has been replaced by the GTX970, its faster, cooler, uses less power and can overclock a lot more for A LOT less money.

6. What exact SSD are you considering?
The only ones worth buying at the moment are :
Samsung EVO
Crucial M500
Crucial MX100

Well I am buying a pre built gaming pc.
I cannot afford to buy the Geforece gtx 970 or anything better than GTX 780. But i think GTX 780 should be enough.
So do u think Intel i5-4690(not k) is good for even most extreme games like Assassins Creed Unity. Will Intel i5 4690(not k) run all latest games on high settings? By the way I won't be doing any overlocking.

Thanks for your help, I might actually considering buying higher quality power supply and Intel i5 4690.
