Hie guys , Im having DIR600L router for which only Ethernet works but wifi doesn't works. SO I borrowed DIR 505 portable adapter from one of my friend. I tried configuring the DIR-505 in three different modes(AP/Repeater/Hotspot)
1. In AP mode the device works smoothly in my wifi devices but in that case the desktop internet speed reduces.
2. I tried hotspot and repeater mode , in both im getting wifi signal but the speed is very less.

So basically is there any option to drive DIR600L as well as DIR505 in AP mode and dont sacrifice any speed.

I assume you plug your desktop into the main router. The AP device should not directly have a impact on your speed. To the router it looks like a switch with a bunch of wired pc connected.

You can do little if the wireless users are using up too much of your bandwidth to the ISP.

If it causes issues with no wireless uses connected then that would be strange. Using a AP to add wireless capacity is pretty standard solution. That dir505 device is rather different but if it acts as other AP devices it should not have any direct impact on other devices plugged into the router.
