Hi, I need a little help. I just bought an SSD and I already owned a 1TB HDD. I installed Win 8.1 on my SSD, along with all my drivers and my Steam. Now I reconnected my HDD and I was wondering everything seems to be working fine, but should I have to wipe the HDD since it has my Previous OS on it. If so how do I wipe it. Another question once I have wiped it what do I need to do to make it my primary drive for needless downloads. As I said I only want the SSD for my OS and a few Games.

I appreciate all and any help.

Hello,

The HDD wiping is not necessary, just be sure in BIOS you have the SSD as the primary boot device (also, you don't know when you'll need the old Win installment).

I suggest you to use the HDD for all your downloads, I don't think your Internet connection bandwidth will saturate the SSD write speed (depending of the SSD, you can have between 50MB/s and 500MB/s write speed). Go into Settings (or Preferences, etc., depending of your software) and set the new path for downloaded files.
