Huston we have a problem :)

Well my pc isnt working since July and i decided its time to do something about it :)

My pc is old so yeah, hope i get some answers :)

The problem started as i was bored ( as usual ), i was playing some games or what not and everything was working as it should, but then i wanted to OC my gpu ( ati 3870- yeah its old:D), so i googled for a bios or whatever and i found 1 witch let me overclock much more than i use to OC be4 that i installed new bios. And still everything worked well, until it wasnt :D. My pc froze, so i restared it, and bam pc powers up, fans are spinning, but the screen is not getting any signal. So im wondering, did my gpu fried or did my mobo, or my psu, or ram. I dont even know anymore. So i want to know what the problem is so i can replace the component that isnt working. I tried changing the cables, bios reset with screwdriver, put the battery out, took everything apart cleand it, put new paste on everything. So what do i need to buy, before i get tired of this and buy new pc.
Thank you!

Yes. Your PSU can reach its amp limit and start rippling out of control - maybe bursting a cap or blowing some parts in your machine. One thing is if...
I would suggest breadboarding the PC - this means taking everything out of the case, install the motherboard, PSU, CPU and one stick of RAM to see if you can get it to post. If that doesn't work, try switching the RAM.

OC'ing is a great hobby - however, you can blow up components doing this....

Hm what do you mean to get it to post?
Well yeah, OC is good, even if it blew my components, cause they are realy old, but still i want to know witch component blew, cause i dont thing everything is fried.

no no, i didnt break the pin itself, i mean i chip the top of that blue thing that goes over cmos pin, 1-2 normal -2-3 clear, that thing i chip the top over, so yeah my gpu starts spinning and it stops and it goes on forever, be4 this happend i know if this means anything, but if i plugged in only cpu+psu+ram+keyboard and/or mouse the light on both stays powerd up, but when i connect hdd (with or without gpu plugged in) after about 40s the light on keyboard lights went out and only 1 light stayed, i think numlock, and whatever i pressed it made no difference, but the light/laser under mouse turned off. Now i cant test that no more cause of gpu, and i get i think 2 fast beeps, and 1 right after like a littlebit longer than first 2, so 3 beeps, without gpu 1 normal beep. So do i need to buy:)?

well no i dont have any lying around, yes i know people, who do you think i am :D The thing is i dont want to ask for PSU, cause last time i burned it ( dont ask me how). Im just saying, what are the symptoms of dead mb, dead psu, dead cpu, i had dead psu and i think it was the same, no signal if i am not mistaken?, i had dead mb and i dont realy remmember what is that like, i guess pretty much if any of these 3 components is fried, the result is the same(black screen, fans spinning), whitch is not cool, cause now i dont know what i need to buy, i can buy VGA cable for intergrated gpu to try if it works like that? And if it does, does that mean GPU is dead, or PSU is weak? And what if intergrated doesnt work, than what? Should i just move on and buy something else?

Dude you are going to buy completely new parts just because of one little issue? You need to have some seperate parts to find out what the problem is. Ally yourself with another nerd nearby and geek-out. Seriously man or else you will be buying a new PC and have alot of money just collecting dust because you were too lazy to get it done.

I would be more than willing to help but I usually need my hands on it to fix.

Well, one little issue, that is going on since June. So to me its not that little :) I dont have time to be running around borowing, mb, psu, cpu,gpu ( mybe even fry it) I already ordered new mb and cpu, now lets say that my psu is faulty, can it fry my mb or cpu ? or can my ( maybe faulty ) gpu fry cpu or mb?
Do i need to buy new psu ? Cause i will buy new gpu anyway. so all thats left is my psu, witch i bought last year i think :), so it should be ok?

A faulty PSU can fry it sure, but if you have a 80+ certified PSU it usually doesn't occur tbh. That being said, defects do exist > But thats why I am saying you should really try to find your issue. You say you don't have time > fine, but then consider why you even build your own PC's compared to buying solutions.

Hm idk if my psu is 80+, you tell me : http://www.game-debate.com/psu/index.php?ps_id=1105&psu=Tecnoware%20Black%20Core%20550W .
What do you mean i should consider why im building a pc? I dont understand that part. Well i dont care about old system, cause its 5years old, i was about to fix it, but since the symptoms are the same if any of 3 major parts fried, im going to replace them all, its time for an upgrade, now since i know what i did, i probably know whats fried / need bios change its gpu. Now i just wanna know, can psu go toast if you OC your gp, or is it the logical answer?

Yes. Your PSU can reach its amp limit and start rippling out of control - maybe bursting a cap or blowing some parts in your machine. One thing is if a machine just dies and maybe you even see sparks from the PSU > but the worst would be if your PSU just gives OOS (Out-of-spec) voltage and silently kills your parts..
