I have been using a PC with ASUS M3N78 PRO motherboard for a few years now. It is running Windows7 64-bit.
Just recently, I bought an internal multi-card reader/writer that fits into case and attaches to one of the USB sockets on the motherboard. It has a light on front so that it is easy to see when powered up.
Anyway, it worked for a few days and then I put an SD-card in and the light went out. So, I moved it to another USB socket and the same thing happened.
Today, I have just moved it to the 3rd (and final) socket and that has now stopped working!
So, I am guessing I have a faulty unit that is causing the USB socket to fail. Has anybody any ideas why that should be and whether it is possible to resurrect the sockets?
