average cpu temp

Hi. Im worried about my cpu temp. Just put my pc together few days ago. Got a program from cpuid.

Specs

Intel i7 4790k
Gigabyte gaming 7 z97x
8gb ddr3 ram
650 power suply
Wasser water cooling
Gtx 770 mso oc edition


At idle it shows its between 45-50degrees

When im playing games it rises above 80 degrees. Is that normal.

What is the average temp of that cpu during idle without any fancy cooling setup. Am sure i put enough thermal paste. And what is temp during games? Thanks

I think it is pretty normal, if you mean core temperature. You see, when I run my Intel Core i5-3337U at full usage, I get core temperatures maxing out at 82 degrees Celsius. I know as a fact my cores can stand up to 100 degrees Celsius so it is at least safe.

82C is way too hot. Your better to keep the temps below 72C as Intel recommends. You may want to read this sticky: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1800828/intel-temperature-guide.html

By "Full Usage" I mean 100% CPU with Turbo Boost. A 1.70Ghz CPU running at close to 2.7Ghz has to be pretty warm.
