Dual non-sli graphic cards compatible?

I am building a multi-media computer, to drive 3 separate monitors, I have been thinking that the gtx 750 will be a good price point. I'm looking at the gtx 750 from gigabite for it's two dvi ports.

My question is, can I put two of these (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125510&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=) in my computer (parts here - http://pcpartpicker.com/user/balto143a/saved/VLgZxr) and run them in a non-sli config just fine eventhough they are not compatible with sli? (Will the still work ok, just not together?)

Yes, because that is the only way that they will run.

The GIGABYTE GV-N750OC-2GI supports four displays at the same time so technically you only need one graphics card.

What is the brand and model of all of the monitors?

That is the answer I was looking for. Being able to run them as 2 non sli cards on 1 board. If they would be happy or not with that.

We are/will be running 2 projectors and a monitor. 3 independent displays, possibly 4 later.

The 750 running 4 displays would be 2 off of each DVI port? I'm concerned about running 3/4 independent video feeds off of the same card. My thought was 2 cards less work for each for long term use.

If the displays are of all different resolutions then it becomes less convenient to use depending upon what applications are being used.

First: Thanks for the info.

Second: They may or may not be different. The 2 projectors will most likely be the same size/rez, the the monitor will be different.

You said less convenient? Did you mean with 1 card or 2 cards installed?

If you have different resolutions, and you want the same desktop image on each display (i.e. duplicated/cloned displays of the main display), then all of the displays will be forced to use the resolution of the display with the lowest resolution. It doesn't matter if you're using one or two graphics cards.

Extending the desktop across multiple displays allows you to use the native resolution of each monitor. Each display can have a different application displaying a different image.
