Nexus 7 vs iPod Touch 5g

I need a small tablet. I have a crappy phone (it's a free one that I got for free with my contract) but I don't have anything to play games on (CoC I mean) or have a mobile computer-ish thing. I don't really like how the Nexus 7 looks but it's really cheap ($100) from Gamestop right now. Which one should I get?

I just meant to use without a contract or anything. I like the phone I have now. I just wanted something else

1) Do you have a Mac?
2) I would say the N7, since it's more useful. Your phone can do everything an iPod can do plus calling, but the N7 has a bigger screen. Plus, you can mod it.

No I just built a PC and I'm not looking to buy mac anytime soon. And my phone can't do anything. All I can do is text and call. I can't even go on the internet without the phone freezing up. I was just wondering if it was worth having an older device as apposed to having the new iPod

Then have Nexus 7. The only reason to go with an iPod against a bigger screen is that it has better sync with Mac. But since you don't have one, then it doesn't matter.
