Hi,
My integrated webcam on my laptop has died (I was told it was fried..) and I assume the integrated webcam is part of the motherboard. I was wondering since that webcam has gone, would I still be able to use a USB webcam, or does it require necessary parts of the motherboard to function?
I understand that you can use a USB headset without a sound card as it has it's dedicated drivers or something so I was wondering if it's the same for a dead integrated webcam on a laptop.
Could anyone inform me on why or why it would/wouldn't work as well?
