Here is a little info of my rig, its old i know haha, looking for the best processor for what im running at the moment. Thank you for the help! Oh and im running 6gb ram ddr2 nvidia gt 610 graphics card. Thanks again!

Solution
defiantly old, I still have a Pentium D 840 (I think) that still is chugging away. :)

anyways, you can get a core 2 quad for cheap. that will really make your old pc speed up. Q6600 is around $50 and Q9450 is around $100 (q6600 has a better bang for your buck).

Okay, do you maybe have any ideas on what a decent motherboard replacement for this case would be? Or am i shooting in the dark here? I'm sure the simplest thing would be to get a new computer but i'm being forced to be a penny pincher at the moment..
