I Recently Just Got A New HardDrive and Wanted To Use The New As My Main HardDrive and Take Windows 7 Off The Old One But Still Keep My Files So I Can Use It As A BackUp Storage Drive

There are a couple of ways to do this and save your files:

1. One of them is taking the old drive out and perform a fresh install on your new HDD with your Windows Installation disk. The same product key should work on your new drive. (Because the OS communicates with the motherboard, not the storage). If you encounter any problems while activating, you can use the phone activation feature of Windows OS.
Afterwards you can plug in your old drive together with your new one and backup all the data you wish. Then you can simply format your old drive and use it as a secondary/backup storage.

2. The other way to go about this is by cloning your old drive to your new drive, without reinstalling Windows. This would be the...
