The kraken 7.1 is in my opinion the best looking headset, but is it any good?I will mostly play games, but i also listen to music, so is it good for both?I don't have a sound card and i using my mobos (sabertooth z87)

Solution
The Sabertooth Z87 mobo has a pretty decent onboard sound, no need for a sound card. My friend has the Kraken Pros and loves them, so I can only imagine the Kraken 7.1 will be better. I've tried on his and they're extremely comfortable and the sound comes through great, and he's also only using onboard sound.

A sound card is completely unnecessary. Yes, the Kraken 7.1 headset sounds just fine for music. If anything, you'll get the best sound by playing with the equalizer settings within Synapse 2.0. Adjust them accordingly to how you like your music to sound and off you go. Should you have any questions or would like my EQ slope/settings, let me know. I listen to a wide variety of music types.

I've had these head phones for ages and they have never been great for music. often you will find 1 ear won't adjust like you're listening to you're logitech speakers. it just doesn't work out like that. 1 ear will just play bass or something other u won't be able to hear the person singing, or vice versa. some musics ok, but mostly its not.
