Hi, I have recently had to re-install windows 7 on my pc and as a result no longer have any of my old software on there. The first thing I now want to get sorted is my internet to connect to my netgear adsl DG834G V3 router, but unfortunately I no longer have the installation disc for it. After a look on google I found what I assumed was the software but was only a disc image file and a html document and cannot find the actual installation software anywhere so I was hoping someone here could find it for me and walk me through the installation if necessary. All help will be greatly appreciated. :D

You dont need the software.

That is just the hold-your-hand dummies guide for people who would ask to post office where the IP address is. You can conrfigure all of the routers settings from the webgui.

Is this a laptop or desktop? If wired you should be able to just plug it in and it work since it was already setup. If wireless you just to select the wifi network and enter your password.

Have you installed the lan/wifi chip drivers and other drivers for your computer?

you don't need any software to access net from any router just go to my computer at the left side you will see network open that there you will find a wireless router icon right click on that and select view device webpage then it will show all the options you need.

Hi booster, its a hp pavilion laptop and as far as Im aware none of the other drivers have been installed nor do I have any clue how to do it myself either. I have tried a wired connection straight from my router to my laptop with an ethernet cable but this did nothing.

Sami, I did what you said and went into network and it is empty with just a message at the top saying "this computer is not connected to a network. Click to connect." After that no networks can be detected.

Try pluggin it in the modem. Or do you have a router/modem in one?

You need the drivers. This is the problem here. Use another computer computer to download your drivers and use a usb stick. If not you wont be able to connect the laptop to the internet. Whenever you reinstall win7 you have to think about this.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=5182510&

Here is the page where you can download all the drivers for you hp laptop. For your personal knowledge the "2.2 Intel core i3-2330M" is the processor or CPU, not the mobo :)

When u get to that page, just select your operating sytem and you will see all the available downloads for you. Look for a network/ethernet driver.
