Hello i have bulit a new pc recently and for the past month or so my keeps shutting down randomly giving a message "asus anti- surge triggered". After reading through some forums i deactivated the asus anti-surge but the pc still kept shutting down randomly.I have updated the BIOS. Yesterday i got this message "overclocking failed" without even overclocking. Sometimes when i power up my pc it dosent turn on even when the keyboard and the Ethernet light are on. What i have observed is to get the pc to turn on i have to push the psu power cable in hard as if it were loose when its actually not. I have tried Two perfectly fine power cables and the problem is still there so my assumption is the power cables are fine. I have carried out a PSU stress test by OCCT and the results are :
+3.3V : max-3.36 min-3.28,
+5 V : max-5.4 min-4.95,
+12V : max-12.10 min-11.81

Please Help me as this is my first build and i am not able to figure out what the problem is.:(

Pc config:
Intel g3258
Asus H81M-plus motherboard
Corsair RM 850
Msi GTX 770
8 gb ripjaws ram 1600

Solution
ya sure it is having the problem with PSU because it works fine with the other psu..

if your psu is in warranty period then get it replaced ....

this is your solution

it may possible that the socket is perfect but the wires connecting to the socket are loose ,,,

so try to run the pc with the other psu if you can borrow from someone it would be best to tryout
