I get serious lag on Watch_Dogs and its unplayable while I'm driving. I just bought the PC version 3 days ago. I have up to date drivers so I'm unsure of what the problem is. I play at 1360x768 mostly at medium settings
PC SPECS:
GPU: XFX Radeon HD 7850 Core 1gb
CPU: AMD A10-6700
HARD DRIVE: 1TB
RAM: 6GB

Lags for everyone with AMD stuff when driving lol.

I run dual 6950's 2GB and still lag.

Turn down the settings to low. see if it helps.

There's a mod called MaLDo's Texture mod that improves driving performance somewhat. You'd probably have to use the version of it that another guy modified for lower spec though.

I use the regular version with my 7970 and it's so good I not only get no lag driving anymore, I can use 4xAA, which really makes crosswalks look smooth instead of those annoying jaggies every time you drive through intersections.

That's the only thing I don't like about the engine they made for this game. It seems to need a lot of AA. The performance though is more about LOD balancing than the engine, which is where the mod comes in handy.

I already tried that mod but the lag and stuttering is still there

Did you read all of what I said in the first paragraph of my response?

Your 7850 is pretty low in power and VRAM for that game. Even weaker than PS4 graphics. Like I said you'd probably need to use the version of that mod that another modder modified for lower spec. The original mod is mainly for high spec that can run High but not Ultra textures.

You need more RAM, 6GB is not enough, mine uses more than 8GB
