Recently my Turtle Beach X12s decided to snap so I got a new headset which is the Asus Cerberus. When using this headset sounds tend to leak a lot into the mic. This being a friends voice on skype, music from youtube or the sound of puush uploading. Also game sound also leaks a lot. I am not sure what this problem is, but any help will be much appreciated.

Are you also using PC speakers connected to the rear of the PC? Like your mic is picking up your PC speakers?

This happens to me sometimes because I only use the Mic on my headset with PC surround speakers. I don't use the headphones.

Or is the headphones with Mic the only speakers you have?

Headset and mic is the only things plugged into the jacks at the back. I have a headset and mic jack in the front but they don't seem to work.

It says this headset has two mics.... a detachable boom mic and an inline mic. Are you using just one or both? Seems strange you would be getting noise from your headphones on to your mic(s). Crosstalk isn't very common but possible. Make sure you cable is not curled up or knotted anywhere.

When the boom mic is plugged in, it disabled the inline mic. (Says in the manual) And no, cable is all straight.
