H-RS880-uATX (Aloe) motherboard AM3 Socket TDP=125 Chipset: AMD 785G
AMD Phenom II X4 910 processor which is a quad-core that runs @2.6GHz
430 watt PSU
8gb memory
EVGA GeForce GTX 750Ti Superclock w/G-SYNC Support 2GB GDDR5 128bit

I just want something that will play games a little better like WoW and FPS(first person shooter) type games I currently get around 60-70ish fps but during heavy loads its like 20-40 and on WoW in groups of more than 20 ppl it goes down to 10 fps during peak times of battle im pretty sure my GPU is fine my processor is quadcore but only 2.6 GHz so do u guys think if I upgrade the cpu to something like 3.5 GHz or so I will get better frames under big loads?

Motherboard supports the following processor upgrades:
TDP=125W
AMD Phenom II X4 9xx/9xxe/8xx Quad-Core (D)
AMD Phenom II X3 7xx/7xxe Triple-Core (H)
AMD II Athlon X4 6xx/6xxe (P)
AMD II Athlon X3 4xx/4xxe ®)
AMD II Athlon X2 2xx/2xxe ®)

I been looking around and found these couple diff 1s and i just want some feedback from some people who may know more about this than i before i spend any money! PLEASE leave ur thoughts and opinions. would like to spend between 50-120$

The best upgrades would be a Phenom II X6 1055T through a Phenom II X6 1110T if it's compatible with your motherboard. But HP does not have it as compatible. In that case the best processors are the unlocked Phenom II X4 processors. Those would be the 955, 965, and 975. As long as your motherboard allows overclocking with multipliers then you will be able to OC these three processors really easily.

The last link you gave is a Phenom II X4 960T. That won't work with your motherboard as it's based on the Thuban Six-Core processors that are supposedly not compatible with your motherboard. If you don't mind taking time to see if this works and have a way to return the CPU you order, I would try getting a Phenom II X6 CPU and seeing if it works with your motherboard. Otherwise the 955 (third link) seems the best.

Hey,

to be honest I'm not sure if it's worth upgrading your CPU only. I've had a Phenom X4 II 955 BE overclocked to 3.6 GHz. You could overclock it to about 3.8 - 4 GHz depending on what chip you get and depending on your motherboard but even overclocked it won't help much in games like WoW.

WoW's engine is just too old. I used to run my 955 BE with a HD 6950 which is roughly the same as your GTX 750 Ti and I thought after upgrading both the CPU and GPU I'll be able to play WoW with no FPS drops whatsoever. Unfortunately even with my setup now (i5-4670K + GTX 770) I still get as low as 25-30 FPS in overcrowded situations.

I just think that spending $100+ (looking at what you linked) is too much for such a minimum upgrade. If you could find a Phenom II x4 955 BE for like $ 50-60 then maybe.
