I recently bought 2 new monitors for a dual monitor display and I cannot put anything near the taskbar because it'll overlap the text.

It looks like this:

I have a Radeon HD 7970 and both monitors are "Samsung S24D360"s.

Does it still happen on the motherboard's onboard graphics? I only seem to get the same problem when I set my taskbar to autohide, so its hard for me to figure this out :p

By the way, when did this start happening? When you got your monitor? Graphics card? New motherboard? If you tell me what you did with your PC around the time it happened it can assist me in troubleshooting.

And see if you have the latest AMD Drivers. It is listed on AMD's website that AMD Catalyst Control Center is the driver for it; said here: Catalyst™ Drivers for Radeon™ R9 200, R7 200, HD 7000, HD 6000 and HD 5000 Series.
These drivers are listed for Windows 8.1 and 7. Try those. And here is the site for you: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

It started when I switched out my TV for 2 monitors. The old TV was also 1080p. I recently updated my drivers for a separate issue and the problem still persists.

How do I check with my motherboard's onboard graphics? Start in safe mode perhaps?

The icons are not overlapped in safe mode and they're also not overlapped when eyeinfinity is enabled. I've been toying around in CCC and still have not found a way to fix this.

After some toying around it turns out it's most likely because the icon grid follows the monitor without a taskbar. If I have a taskbar on both monitors (be it from duplicate monitors, eyeinfinity or DisplayFusion) then the icons will align themselves such that the taskbar does not overlap them.

I'm just going to have to suck it up and leave no icons on the bottom row. I like having no taskbar on my secondary monitor. :p
