I'm looking to purchase a windows tablet that I'll use for general web surfing, mild mobile productivity, reading manga, and playing light rhythm games, but my budget is pretty tight. I was looking at the Acer aspire switch 10 as a viable option, as it seems to get pretty good reviews and has a nice screen that will most likely decrease in price for black friday/cyber monday. There is also the teclast x98 air chinese tablet that I have seen pretty good reviews for and its pretty unbeatable performance at this price point with about as much battery life as the acer. The retina display also piques my interest for reading manga scans, but it's still a chinese tablet so I'm worried about it bricking. Do you think it can be trusted or should I just hold out for the brand name? Are there any other options I should be considering?

I'd stay away from Chinese brands, their specs are often good to read but the actual build quality is very often not good. Battery usually tanks after a year or less, screen has ghosting or is blurry, things like that.
