Hi,

Got a HDD in a test PC and it's showing in device manager/disk management, installed the driver, but it's not accessible via My Computer. It shows up blank in disk management (I.E, no name), and won't let me assign it a drive letter. Only options I have is Convert to Dynamic, and Make it Offline.

What options do I have here to recover the data?

Thanks

Hey Wellsy95. For the data recovery you could take a look at that thread: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-1644496/lost-data-recovery.html
You could also try opening the drive through Linux LiveCD to see if you get get the data out of it directly. Or try connecting the drive externally with a SATA to USB cable to see if it shows up in Windows Explorer.
About the drive letter, try changing it via CMD. You could also try connecting it to a different SATA cable to see if that affects the issue.

Hope that helps.
