I record and upload gameplay from my pc games to YouTube, and I'm about to add my ps4 gameplay into the mix. I just wanted to know if there is anyway to record both my audio and in game audio (for instance, lobby chat) into the recording as well.

I just want to know if it's possible to do through my headset before I go out and spend the money on Astro A40's and mixamp.

Let me know if you have any experience with this. Thanks.

When you stream video for the PS4, you should get the option to record your microphone or not.

If it doesn't, I know for a fact the Share feature for my PS4 definitely records my voice from the Playstation Eye camera when I use it for recording/streaming, as well as the ingame audio. You should be able to record your voice and the ingame audio with your headset just fine.
