I bought a Wireless-N-Repeater that looks like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9V4w9mtViQ
I also tried to setup according to the video. The problem is when I am connected to the wifi-repeater network, it says LIMITED connectivity. I am unable to access the internet. So i tried this 2nd method of connecting RJ45 cable to my laptop and changing the IPv4 address to 192.168.10.x (The device IP is 192.168.10.1) but still.....limited connectivity! :??: :??:

My primary router is ASUS RT-N56U and it is working great.
Default IP is 192.168.1.1

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I've been trying for many days!

your repeater should grab an ip from your router automatically. should be 192.168.1.xxx. I dont think that is the problem. I really think that your repeater is not hooked to your router.

You can login to your existing router and check what devices are connected. I would do that and check if you can see your repeater linked up.

Can you tell me step by step how to link them up?
The IP address of the repeater is 192.168.10.1 whereas the primary router is 192.168.1.1
Both numbers are slightly different, is that why they are not connected? How do I change it?
