Need a floppy or CD that will boot a large (250 Gb) hard drive on an old PC.

I enjoy using old hardware. It is built like a battleship! I want to use some 250Gb drives, but old PCs can't boot from drives that large using the BIOS boot routines. I used to have floppies that would boot then boot from various CD drives, hard drive partitions, etc. Does anyone know of a bootable floppy or CD that will then boot from another device? ie 250Gb /dev/hda or C: drive?

Thanks for the pointer! Great site, I will bookmark it for the future. Nice eye-candy too! But, I haven't found anything that does what I want there yet.

plop boot manager will allow you to do this.
