If spending an extra $100 on the motherboard decreases the chances of boot issue and/or makes overclocking easier, that will be money well spent for me.

I would also place a premium on fast read/write to SDD, at least room for 2 CUDA GPUs, and 128 GB of memory.

This will be a Linux build (if that matters).

Which MoBo is my best option?

Thank you

Solution
all X99 mobo seems good but i'd go with an Asus, like : ASUS X99-Deluxe for 400$
and 2 970 or 980 ?
you can't put 128 gig now only 64 for the moment. no 16 gig ddr4 dimm.

Thanks, I will probably go with ASUS for the MoBo.

I will go with 2 GTX 970 (have a rec for this?).

Ah, okay, I did not realize that 64 was the max GB.
