Hi everyone!

My ATI HD 3870 recently stopped working and I decided to buy a GeForce GT 730 from Gigabyte. I was told that my PC would handle it without problems. I have an Intel Pentium D GPU at 3.01 Ghz, 3GB of RAM DDR2 and an OEM 500W PSU.

When I plug my new card in the PCIe 1.0 slot (it's a x16 one running at x4; that's what my old AsRock motherboard can handle xD) and turn on the computer it doesn't load the BIOS and it doesn't make any beeps. All the fans start running (also the GPU one) and that's all; my monitor doesn't receive any signal.

When I plug my old Geforce 6600 everything works without any problems. What can I do?

Thank you very much for your help! =)

Thank you very much for your answer popatim!

It looks like it worksr with PCIe 1.0 according to other forum users. What else could the problem be? ^_^ '
