NEED HELP! Computer keeps shutting off when playing a game

so this just started happening yesterday
but whenever i open call of duty advanced warfare my system shuts down and restarts saying that there was a power surge and it turned off to save power( which is a built in feature for the asus m5a78l-m). this has happened like 6 times now and im really getiin mad.
any help?

Power Supply.

What make and model is your psu. All PSUs are not made equal, there is no requirement/agency teh requires the psu to be able to ouput the wattage on the sticker. Never go cheap on the part that can destroy everything else.

I agree. PSU problem. Sounds like it may either be going bad or not large enough for whatever GPU you're running.

the powersuly was left in there from when i originally bought it, i believe its a 650w and untill now i didnt know about wattage and all of that. it may be under of what i need
