Best non-gaming specific keyboard with USB pass-through (USB hub)

Wondering what everybody recommends for a comfortable typing keyboard (nothing with short key travel or squishy feeling keys) with USB pass through (so I can hook my mouse in to it). Might do some light gaming with it, but mostly to hook up to my laptop when I'm at my desk doing homework. I'd like to keep the price < $50. The Dell U473D is currently at the top of my list as apparently it's actually really nice to type on. Unfortunately it's a bit of a pain to get in Canada at any kind of a decent price... Thanks everybody!

I'd love mechanical, but as you said hard to do for $50. Just the least squishy membrane style I can get my hands on.

Near as I can tell that sidewinder doesn't have USB pass through does it?
