Hi, I'm extremely new to Computer building and pretty much everything that inquires, so when answering this I ask that you please try to like define the words and abbreviations you use. ANYWAY, so I am getting help from my friends in building a gaming PC. I am trying to keep an around $1000 price range ish but I wanted to share my build, gather opinions on it and get some input on the power supply I pick. Here it is:
Processor: Intel Core i5-4660
Graphics Card: Asus Strix Geforce GTX 970 4GB
RAM: (black) Corsair Vengeance (2x4gb) 1600 mghz
Hard Drive: Western Digital Blue 3’5 1Tb
Motherboard: MSI Z97 G45 Gaming (newegg.ca)

That is it for now at least. I was picking a power supply and I got a little lost in how much wattage I should leave for overclocking and other things. This build calculates about 590 watts. SO, I was planning on buying the CS650M Modular power supply from Corsair. I was wondering if this is a good choice and iff leaving about 60 watts for flexibility is enough. Thanks so much :)

I would suggest that you buy a different mobo since MSI are not using the best quality components. Get a gigabyte, asrock or asus mobo.

Secondly you should get an i5 4690 and get the zotac amp omega gtx 970, it's cheaper and performance is the same and it over clocks better.

The PSU is perfect. In fact I have a similar build and I use the same PSU .
